Iggie,

Once you get your spear and blade cleaned up and sparkling, take some pure
Carnuba wax, rub it in and let it dry.  Buff and do it again.  That will
keep your non-stainless steel weapons and armor looking good and free from
rust.

Now the truck may be another story :)
