[Namron] Regarding Med Fair and Garb

           Our cher baron put forth a request at last pop that we as a group do our best to put on a good show at Medfair. Accordingly, the lady Dagmar asked that people who could help in that endeavor make themselves known. I asked myself: Self, am I known? " Answer hazy. Try again later."  And SO here we go:

 What I can do:

Help. 

Research on a problem or an idea on current or upcoming garb attempts.  How they did/might have done something.. or how you can rescue a project gone wrong. ( Hey look I made a ... table napkin? )  Number one thing I hear ladies in particular agonize over : What will look good on me? Relax. Beaux knows. Everyone is beautiful! Dont fret. Just ask! If I have one talent, its knowing what makes folks look their best. ( Now why I cant make it work on myself... I dunno. Mystery of the Universe.) 

Fit. 

Believe me I know its a pain in the ... um.. yes. That.  Its a pain to fit ones own self, especially if you're trying to make something you've never tried before. I've used a good many colorful anglo saxon convenience phrases while fitting myself. I feel your pain. Ladies it is possible to go sans modern bosom torture device at events and be comfy. Evil things they are... 

Teach. 

I had planned on offering classes at the store I used to run, but as that is no longer an option, I'm regrouping. The Lady Meraud has offered her domicile as a location, but I do not wish to block out nights at her home  if no one is truly interested. ( that would be -her- home and -her- life she puts on hold.. .common courtesy again...) Please let -her- know if you would like classes and what level of sewing/garb experience you are at, and when your least bad times would be.  I'll plan classes accordingly. 

Sew.

 I do sew professionally now, full time. No I am not cheap, but then I dont do "cheap" work either. Everything I do is true custom. I dont have a "stock" that I just sell.( The same style gown out of two different fabrics might have totally different patterns... for the same person!)  I recoil from the thought of a lady wearing a gown I made that doesnt suit her - just- so. As a -general- rule, a tunic ( no closure) style early period will run about 40- 60 dollars for labor, dependent on the fabric, how complicated the sleeves and skirt are and so on. Mens run slightly less than womens ( sorry ladies.. its that bosom fitting thing and a lot more time involved in skirt construction.. not discrimination!)  There isnt a time frame or location I wont tackle. I will do "fantasy" styles as well, though please dont ask me to make you a bunny fur bikini...those are no sew anyway... ( Dont ask...) I will supply fabric for you if need be, at my cost. If I got a discount, so will you.

Anyway! There are several other people out there who can help that I know of. I do not, however, know how full their respective plates are. Making awesome clothes is one of the things I do best. I can help in plenty of ways, if I know where I'm needed :)  The easiest way to get hold of me is via email. I check it several times a day and answer quickly.
