Don't forget the original post also asked about guilds. We do have at 
least one somewhat active guild in the North of Ansteorra: The 
Honorable Brotherhood of Brewers, Mazers, and Vinterns.

Despite the name, ladies are indeed welcome (one of our longest 
standing members is of the fairer sex).

To become a member of the Brotherhood (as it is referred to when time 
is short) one must make an attempt at producing a fermented beverage in 
one of the classifications the guild recognizes (beer, mead, wine, 
cider) and present it at a meeting of the guild for consideration. The 
Brotherhood, having most of its members in Namron, holds meetings at 
all of the major Namron events (Protectorate, Beltane), and 
occasionally at other northern events (Wiesenfeuer baronial).
