I saw my hip specialist today.  There are no hip dips
and shimmy shimmy's for me for awhile, but there is a
light at the end of the tunnel. 

Doc says there is a "substantial tear" in the
cartilage in my hip and that the ball of the hip joint
is mis-shapen and may require a little whittling. 

Alright, all you who just snapped your knives open,
put them away.  Only the doc gets to whittle on my
bones.

I'm looking at surgery within the next two weeks. 
After a week of recovery, I will begin rehab and by 12
weeks out should be able to walk on my own two feet
again.

A major thanks to Pooky for his massage and to Chass
for his salve.  The salve helped the irritation, but
it just doesn't heal cartilage - darn!  Nice try,
though.

I look forward to be back to full steam ahead in the
fall.
