[Namron] Childrens Sashes

I believe the only requirement on cloth is color.  However, broadcloth
might be a little lightweight to stand up to much abuse and/or hang
correctly.
 
The actual need appears more to be help on badges.  Each child will only
need one sash, but can receive many badges.  They also need scrolls
painted to be presented with the badges.
 
I, also, would prefer that the badges be hand-done.  Since the designs
as shown on the kingdom website are fairly simple outlines, they should
only take 10 minutes or less apiece to work, with the exception of the
border.  Even that shouldn't take too long on felt, it could be done
with either a single color or alternating colors in blanket/buttonhole
stitch, since felt won't ravel.  For that matter, blanket/buttonhole
stitch could be used to hold a hem on any cloth.  Broadcloth would be
great for either embroidering on or backing other fabric after
embroidering.  
 
The ones Merlin(Alan) received last year at Children's College were
simply fabric painted on the felt.  If a large number are needed
quickly, as they were then, this is a good way to get many done.
 
 
Pooky-what classes are to be taught at Protectorate?  You seem to have a
fairly good number of people interested, perhaps if each of us would
commit to making at least 10 badges each, we can get them hand-made for
you in time.  At 10 badges per person, for 140 badges you would need 14
people making them.
