Pooky, leaving the ends open sound best to me too. The child CAN wear
an enjoy their sash upon receiving it, if they are given with safety
pins to fasten them.

I believe that Ulf has a scanner, as well as several others around, I am
sure.

Subject: [Namron] Badge and Sash update 8/09/41

ClapClapClap happy happy,

Badges: I am getting the design with tornados around the edge authorized
by the Kingdom MoC as to see whether that design is acceptable. It looks
great but that is just MY opinion. Her concern is whether there would be
enough heraldic separation between what I am hoping we can use and the
other 49 places in Ansteorra that can have MoC badges.
Point being ~ What design We can use is on hold until I can get
approval. Aha! If I can find a scanner and attach a color copy to an
email, that might be the fastest way to get E. Adria to authorize or
deny the design. Otherwise it'll be a snail mail method. Anyone have
scanning technology?

Sashes: Lady Isobel did you find a pattern for sashes?
I noticed from MY water bearer's sash that the end furthest from the
shoulder=, when cut at about a 45 degree angle, makes the sash lay/lie
flatter against the torso. That's what I think the big trick to sashes
is. I'm reaffirming MY vote for the 3/4" trim because a child has about
3-4 inches of shoulder available (best guess). The width of trim on both
sides of the black cloth 3/4" wide = 1.5" of trim minus (Pooky's
ignorant guess) 1/4" to sew it to the black fabric then equals 1.25"s
plus the width of the cloth.

That sounds closer to 3-4 inches wide then starting with 1.5 inches of
trim on both sides of the black trigger plus width of black trigger.

I am going to measure My niece and nephews tonight to see how different
ages will effect the overall length of the sash. That'll give ME a
better estimate but we might consider leaving the torso end open so the
parents can form fit it to their child but if we do that then the child
can't have the sash work and function immediately upon receiving it,
when they are most excited about it, so that stinks because at that
instant is when they most want to be styling their new sash and being
excited about it. So maybe having different length sashes available,
closed on both ends, whose length is pre based on different size kids
might be best. I'm still wrestling with this. Input and feedback is
always appreciated.

Scrolls: Momma MoOoOoo taught ME how. I've got the scrolls covered.

Teachers: Always need more teachers and reminders of willingness,
availability times, and subject matter. If I get a commitment as to
which subject you are most wanting to teach then We can focus on the
production of that certain type of badge.
It's all circlulus but never Mobius. ;^ )

synopsis: Design for badges needs to be approved / plans for sash sizes
need further consideration and input / Good on scrolls / teachers yes
please.

My magic communication devices number is 405.206.1227 feel free to
startle ME with vibration anytime. Yes 24/7 anytime.

We're getting closer togettin' R' done,
Thank you everybody for your time, effort, and help!

P.s. Ldy. Lucrezia it looks as though I want to learn embroidery. If MY
Huge Grandfather First of The Paw People could Tat since the age of 16,
I can learn the Manipulatively Dexterous art of Paw Embroidery. Heck, it
might even straiten MY fingers, who knows... };^))
