I was just sent this and thought I would forward it to everyone, it is a great idea... if we can all get together on it. I apologize for the multiple posts.

Whether like some, you feel that SCAdian thefts are on the rise---or whether 
like others, you believe it's just statistics playing themselves out in due 
course...

Today, a kindhearted volunteer announced the creation of a message 
board/community specifically for reporting thefts of SCAdian stuff.  It is at 
http://community.livejournal.com/sca_lost.

You can report new thefts, inquire about old thefts, post pictures of the 
items.  Or just scan over the posts quickly once a day, to see if someone's 
located the swag/caught the blackguards who took it.

(IMHO, a capital idea whose time has come.)
