Greetings all!

Last night I had two guests at the populace meeting. One was there on business, the type of which seemed quite pleasing to most, and the other was there as a brand new player in the game.

As to the business, which related to an invitation to do a Demo in November at Maysville and a Demo within the calandar year in Pauls Valley, I think things went well and I'll be keeping everyone updated as things progress in those areas. Gigi is also coming to Protectorate as a Photojournalist who is working on getting material for an upcoming showing of her work. So, be sure to look and act splendidly so that she might best capture the glory that is Namron!

Now to our new player, Shanda. Shanda has been coming to my library for over a year now. I noticed her reading material really meshed with stuff these crazy people I know from Norman do for fun (gee, I wonder who THEY are!!!! LOL). She and her sister came to the recent Sewing Night in Kuhniegen and have been participating quite regularly in our local endeavors to get our little group up and running.

Last night was her first experience with a Baronial Pop meeting, and her first time to meet so many of the people she's heard me talking about. She sat through the meeting, we went to Lady Isobel and Master Micheal's home to gather loaner gear and garb for Protectorate, and we met up with "the crowd" at Applebees for desert and coffee afterwards.

On the ride home, Shanda told me that she had never felt so welcomed, so relaxed, and so comfortable around a bunch of people in her life. She expressed a feeling of being accepted as if she'd always been there and was amazed at the warmth and generosity that was shown by everyone. And she was astounded by how touched she was, not even knowing any of you, with the heartfelt words of our Baron Ulf and Baroness Maleah at the end of the meeting. She said their words of love for this barony, these people, brought tears to the eyes of a stranger in this land. She could see, after a few short hours with us, that we were, indeed, a family.

So, thank you, for making a fellow Lady of Kuhniegen feel welcomed as family into this barony. For you gentleman who took notice, thank you for being only 1 part cad and 99 parts gentleman to this lovely young woman. For you ladies who offered advice, information, assistance, thank you for welcoming a new sister to the family.

We got home near 1 a.m. and had to be at work before 8 a.m., so I really need a nap, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world!

  Love and hugs!

  Sami
