  September 2006 classes to be held in Shawnee, ok

   14 8pm Class Belly Dance
   Lady Fayidah bint Asad umm Jawhar graces us with a participation based historical belly dancing class. Class open to all skill levels Basic, intermediate, and advanced welcome. For directions to class Contact Lady Fayidah bint Asad umm Jawhar at mysticpeach at mcloudteleco.com
    
   16 1 PM Class Costuming :Introduction to Hand sewing.
   Ever had a knight step on your gown and rip your skirt? Ever been in battle and needed to repair your pants! In this class you will learn basic stitches for quick repairs, hand sewing your garment like they did in the SCA history time period. We will also and make a pouch to carry your gold coinage and other goodies in. Class geared toward Basic sewing level but open to all.

   23 1 PM Class Knowne World – History of the SCA and SCA customs
   New to the SCA? Not so new but ready to learn more about our organization. This class will survey the history of the SCA, what it is to be a part of the SCA, customs of the organization and more. Class geared toward Basic and intermediate level SCA info seekers but open to all.

   30 1 PM Class Costuming: Basic Tunic and pants for Men Women and children. 
   This class serves to instruct on how to complete a Tunic and pants to be worn at SCA events. Class syllabus includes but not limited to: Pattern construction, fabric selections, Garment construction, and compiling a full measurements sheet for further costuming classes. 
   The tunic is an excellent place to start for those just starting in the SCA, new to sewing, or those desiring to create a persona of an era and location where tunics were popular. 
   Class geared toward Basic and intermediate level but open to all.
