[Namron] Med Fair

David, 

Have no fear!  In this barony, and in this kingdom for that matter, there is ALWAYS something going on at which you can participate and get to know the gentlefolk of the realm!  I've been playing for 4 years now, and I'm still trying to learn more and meet more people!

The next thing you might consider attending is Populous meeting.  We have 2 a month, the first Wednesday of the month at 7:30 at the Norman HS Library and the 3rd Tuesday of the month, same time and location.  When school lets out, however, we'll loose our location for the summertime.  That's when we move to Reeves Park for a couple of months...same date and times, just meeting "al fresco".

The weekend of April 20-22 is Wiesenfuer's Baronial Event.  I believe it's at the Will Rogers Boy Scout Camp this year.  

The following weekend we have tentatively scheduled a bonfire at my homestead south of Maysville.  Keep an eye on the list for more info on that....a great casual setting to get to know a few of the Namronians and Skorragardrians...and excellent therapy for gettin in touch with your inner pyro. 

After that is Namron's Beltain Games, followed by the demo at the Grape Ranch.  So there are LOTS of opportunities to come out and play.

Med Fair was great.  It was the first time I had been to it and I thought 
the whole SCA encampment was impressive.  It was good to see so many SCAers 
from many places.  Thank you to all who labored to put it on.   I met some 
more gentlefolk and I think I may have learnt a couple names as well.   I 
was glad to have been able to help out some in the mess tent and only wish 
my schedule would have allowed me to work more and get to know everyone 
better.
