Today was one of the best on the trip to Sweden. We spent the first part of the day with the Barony of Styrenheim; said our goodbyes to our new friends. Then we spent a LOT of time taking pictures of ancient Visby. It is an incredible sight to see stone stacked upon stone that have rested in place, worn only by time, wind, and rain. It is impressive to realise they have been in place for century after century.

We polished off the day by attending the jousting match at the invitation of the Prince of Nordmark. There were wonderful equestrian games, fools & jesters to entertain between bouts, and archers with flaming arrows.

We will bring pictures home. I wish we could brimg the feel & essemce of Sweden and what it is like to be walking in, on, and around medieval streets , buildings, and artifacts.

Oh, and Master/Baron Ulf - the only dragon I've seen so far was being slain by St;George. I guess I'm not wandering too far off the beaten path. ;-)
