Aside from your kids' online activities, it's important to keep your own
behavior in mind. It's tempting to talk about your kids in your blog, on a
forum, or while you're chatting, but it's best to not mention them by name
or share information about them such as their birthday. Also, don't enter
information about your kids on a website or mailing list because you don't
know who is going to see that information, how it's stored, or if it's going
to be posted publicly somewhere. This information can be used for identity
theft or even to approach your child claiming to be someone they can trust
because they know certain details about their life.
