[Namron] question...

There is in Norman a Christmas Store, which takes donations and has low income families help set up and organize, then they get to shop, food, clothes and toys, there is even a children's section where the kids can go without Mom and Dad and get small gifts for them. They are always looking for donations of anything. I would suggest calling Food for Friends as they will know where the Store is this year. (It moves around to any empty store the organizers can get for free). We might check with the Salvation Army about bell ringing for next year, would be fun to do in garb and we might even recruit - Gwyneth

You know what I've really wanted to volunteer to do is deliver toys to families that are not able to provide Christmas toys for thier children. I know there are some agencies that collect toys and actually go out and deliver them to individuals that they have on thier lists, but I'm not sure who they are exactly of if it's even something offered in this area. It would be a fun idea though to make children smile :)
