>From the Seat of Wisdom: Medieval Art from the MGMoA Collection
This exhibit features works entirely from the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of
Art's permanent collection and showcases the depths of medieval art
held at the museum. The highlights of the exhibit are the five wooden
Madonna and child statues. These are statues that would have been
placed on the altars of churches throughout medieval Europe. Also
included are medieval manuscripts, as well as a page from a sheet of
music. To add even more depth to the exhibit, several medieval
reproduction instruments by Tulsa artist Stan Hess will be displayed.
