[Namron] Looking for some garb advice/thoughts

I'm looking forward to a new and challenging project and have run into a
fabric question I can't find a definitive answer on.  If someone with a bit
of time on their hands and some knowledge of early Italian renn could email
me off list to answer it, I'd be a fantastically happy sewer!
