I think that quite a few had expressed an interest in attending, but I don't know if we decided whether or not to have an official presence. Orlando and I might be able to make it for a bit on Saturday depending on how my dad is recovering after his surgery this Wednesday.

Greetings!
    This is just a reminder that Cat and I will be hosting Rapier practice
and Scribal at our house tonight. We have had excellent turn-out over the
last few weeks and fully expect the same tonight. As always, if you are
interested in rapier we have plenty of loaner gear (please wear long pants).
If you are interested in scribal arts we also have plenty of paints and
charters to work on.

SITE: Presbyterian Church Youth Camp, 9601 West 73rd Street North, Valley
Center, KS 67217
Site Opens 5:00p.m., Friday the 4th and Site closes at Noon, Monday the 7th

ACTIVITIES: Gladiatorial Games, Melees, THE 30TH ANNUAL TOURNAMENT OF VALOR,
Guardian of Valor Tournament, Archery and Thrown Weapons, Thrown Spear
Competition, Equestrian Tourney & Activities, Bardic Competition, Arts &
Science Completions (Tournaments in any Medium, Brewing), RUSH Classes,
Laurel?s Roadshow & Discussion, Newcomers Point, Courtly Ball with a
performance by the Champagne Players, plus Sumo Wrestling with Mongol Mike's
Casino,

DIRECTIONS: Take your best route to I-135 in Wichita, KS. Follow I-135 to
the north edge of Wichita, to K-96 West. Continue on K-96 to Ridge Road.
Take Ridge Road north to 73rd St. North. Turn left on 73rd St, and continue
for several miles. Look for SCA signs and the First Presbyterian Church
Camp.

CONSTRUCTION NOTE: The junctions for I-135 & Kellogg Ave. (HW 54) are closed
for construction, so avoid using Kellogg to reach I-135.
SITE FEES: $12.00 for adults, $6.00 for ages 13-17, children 12 and under
get in free. There is an additional $3.00 surcharge for each adult
non-member. Please note: the NMS will not be collected for minors for whom
there is a discounted event fee. The family cap is $30.00 (not including
non-member surcharge). Make checks payable to ?SCA Inc., Barony of Vatavia.?

SITE DETAILS: The site includes a full hall, plenty of camping space, a
nature trail, a swimming pool, showers, indoor restrooms, and fire pits. No
ground fires are allowed! Site is wet, but alcohol is requested to be in
period containers. There are two upstairs rooms in the hall with multiple
beds for people with special needs.

TAVERN: Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday and Sunday. Menu
will be Sicilian and Mediterranean. There will not be a feast this year.

Hey Len

You would not be out of character at all.  From what I understood when I
spoke to the lady putting it on, the faire this weekend was not specifically
Celtic.  It was more of a general medieval themed.  The one earlier this
year was the Celtic Celebration Faire.  Its the same person putting it on
though and would be a great opportunity to meet some people and spread good
work about the SCA.

I am hoping to make it out atleast one of the days too
