So far this has just been D'Alder (who works for Campfire) and I
talking. I posted on the list to gauge people's opinions to know if it
was even worth pursuing further. The Campfire board is currently trying
to decide what they want to do with the camp. There have been no
official negotiations yet about anything. The price coming down is the
whole reason I was even considering using Cimarron again. Campfire has
shown a willingness in the past to trade work for a free rental (which
is why we have a free rental at DaKaNi for Beltane), so while that is
still just speculation, it's not unreasonable speculation. As to
directing our efforts to DaKaNi, while it certainly works for some
events, It's a bit small for Protectorate and has other drawbacks such
as kitchen facilities. I could certainly see us using DaKaNi for
Beltane and Cimarron for Protectorate.
So while it is great to know the level of enthusiasm out there, we're no
where near the point of actually planning a work day.
Thanks,
Donnchadh
