Subject: [Namron] Mardi Gras parade
Greetings all,
As you may have heard at the meeting last night, we have asked to be a part of the Norman Mardi Gras parade which starts at 6:45 p.m. Saturday Feb. 21. After the meeting last night I was asked to help coordinate this effort. The baroness and I were discussing themes and though that a Walk through History "timeline" type theme might be the best considering that we are all from different times and places. I was thinking that we could even make banners that had the year and region on them and then we could walk behind the banners. For example, a banner for Orlando and me would say something like "Late 1500s, Italy." Anyway ... what I need from people now, because our lovely seneschal needs to report it back to the people coordinating the parade, is the number of people interested in participating. So, please e-mail me at dnk_p at hotmail.com with your time period and country and how many people would be parading with you. I really want to get some good participation on this as I think it would be great fun and a great PR/publicity opportunity as well. All it requires of you is that you wear your best garb and come on out. We will probably also get some beads and candy to throw out to the kiddos, but more on that later! Please e-mail me if you are interested.
YIS,
Caterina Giovanni di Gilead
