I am opening the office of baronial webminister for applications.  I have
performed the duties for a while now and it is only fair to give other
people a chance to add their vision into the barony.  I would like to close
the applications by the end of June so the new webminister can get on the
July roster warrant.

So who should apply?  Anyone interested in holding an office, has a
computer, internet access, and some programming or web development skills.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist (oh, wait - that's me...) It doesn't take
someone who does web development for a living (technically I don't
anymore...) Previous knowledge of how to build web pages and place them on a
server will be a definite plus, though.  You also have to be a paid member,
have reliable telephone or email, and willing to spend an hour or two a week
doing this.

Make a copy of your membership card and your driver's license.  If you are
going to be applying electronically, this can just be a scanned image.

The very first link on http://www.ansteorra.org/publications/forms/ is the
official Application for Office.  Fill it out and save it.  You
*must* send this application to the Northern Regional Webminister, the
seneschal, the baron, and me.  The Northern Regional *must* also get the
copy of your membership and driver's license.  If the four people mentioned
here don't get the application, you don't get the job, no matter how much
you've talked about wanting it while sharing a jug of mead with all four of
them.

I also suggest checking out http://webminister.ansteorra.org/ to see what
else is required and what is available.  The server information can be found
at http://dreamhost.com/hosting.html where whole alphabet soup of
programming languages and software available are listed.
