Greetings all!

Viscountess Aislinn here... I know that I have been inactive for many a long

like to day trip to protectorate on Saturday I would very much like to be at
the celebration to honor the lives of Blume, Lord Arthur and Goose.... we
have lost too many old friends this year. If you are going out on Saturday I
would love to accompany you! of course I will help with gas... Thank you in
advance! You can reach me here, at home 364-6887, or at work 325-5332. If
you use the telephone to reach me please use my mundane name of Amy.... my
Boss and my signifiacat other are unfamiliar with my SCA name!

Thank you again!

It has been 8-9 years since I have actively participated in copious
alcohol consumption.

Shots named after Centurians fill my mind with some utterly vulgar
flavored elixirs and some outrageously sweet sips as well, hmm! it'll
be interesting to see how accurately they make the pairings.

Robert of the faire has been working hard on creating windshields for the
torches that we tried to use last year. I hear he is close to done.

We could use a few tanks that arent being used to light these torches is
someone is willing to allow us to use them. Please contact myself or Melina
if you can help with this.

Just a simple clarification. This fundraiser is not for Their Highnesses
travel fund, just a general fundraiser to help cover their costs. Thanks so
much for your helpful donations.

I'm not that good at the rah-rah stuff, so bear with me. Those of you
who this doesn't apply to, bear with me.

If you show up for Protectorate and you're bored, you're not looking
hard enough. Preparation for Protectorate has already started, and
will continue through the event.

There are plenty of opportunities, before, during and after the event
for anyone who wants to volunteer to help. You'll see some of it
here, and there will be plenty more on-site.

If you've got some spare time, help. Go ask someone "what can I do".
The kitchen is a good place to ask, but there are plenty of others.

This is Protectorate, and this is when Namron shines. It's your
barony. Do what you can.

Care,
Bubba

I think I am good at the rah-rah stuff so bear with me.

Some of the ways I fulfill my Dream (being helpful include:

Getting stuff in and out of Fred the Shed - (heck ya don't even have
to go to the event to do that

Sitting gate - you get to see lots of people that way

Site Heralding - you get to yell at a lot of people that way

Helping in the kitchen - you get to feed a lot of people that way

Helping in the tavern - We already got a shout out for that and you
get to feed even more people that way

Helping with bathrooms - You get to, well you get to help people
prevent the plague that way

Butt patrol - (different then helping in the bathrooms) you get to
keep our event non modern looking and make it so we have a good
reputation with those who own the site that way

Tent setting up - a family appreciates it immensely when after a 3
hour drive with children someone helps to create their shelter for the
weekend err umm that way

clean up - few of us have the strength and energy after a weekend to
do what must be done and return a site to it's pristine state by
cleaning it to it looks good in that way HAH!

packing it up - Those in charge have done enough, if we take down the
barony's stuff they would be most appreciative if we helped in that
way

list mistressing, children's activities, waterbearing, entertaining
are all ways to make an event a magical time. Time to be bored? no
way!

I often think I have many thing I ought to be doing all at the same
time at an event. If you want to share in the fun of helping and don't
know who to talk to, find me and I'll happily share a project with
you.

I'll be the tall goofy looking guy running hither and fro,

YAY Protectorate VRoOom!

Pooky

I sware I read my name twice in this missive, I was worried I had
forgotten something I had agreed to. (Like why I needed to be
guarded...)

I have carved and rendered full pigs many times if you need help with
that. I'll bring the cutlery just in case

Wolves and chicken coops / Pooky and roasted pigs (sigh... I'll be good)

I had no idea but, since you are obviously an expert in the anatomy of
tasty mammals (me..not as much). I not only request, but do beg your
assistance with the carving of Saturday evening's main course.
