Hey guys!

I'm cleared for time off from the 12th of March through the 22nd, and can adjust as needed. I am just looking for a ride, and obviously help out with some of the gas to get to and from. If you're interested in helping me out, please email me at abelford at gmx.com.

Thanks!

Have you tried the accessories patterns of McCall's and Vogue? They used to
have some very cute pill box-esque patterns.

Greetings one and all, As of now I have received only 4 entries for the cook off competition for The Baronial cook off throw down. This is open to one and all and is for word fame and fun, BUT, I am trying to put together a gift basket and maybe a trophy to pass down.
Gaelan Garrett
Tadhg
Ian MacEwan
And Lady Sarah
??????????? I hope that if any others wish to partake it is going to be fun. After speaking with a few cooks from around the Northern region, the cooking throw-down will happen at Baronial. The Judges being those that attended the B&B luncheon, if you feel like you would like to join in please send me an E-Mail ASAP so I can put the outline fully in place and get the info out. The Baronial Event will be here before we know it. Thanks, Ian MacEwan

It may get to be over freezing, but finding arrows would be a great challenge (not to mention the trek across icy roads). This weekend's archery practice is, therefore, cancelled, alas (although I do think I hit a personal record for dependent clauses in this sentence, so it's not all bad).

For those of you with time on your hands tomorrow and who are looking to build arrows, I recommend you check out the website at http://www.3riversarchery.com/ Better prices can be had for some items at other sites, but you can start to get an idea of the costs involved. Look at buying feathers, tips, shafts, and nocks; fletching jigs and nock tools are often available for loan, although having your own is nice, too. We're planning to have a fletching day soon (once enough people gather arrow making supplies for their arrows) although a date has not yet been set.

Very truly yours (yes, y'all are apparently stuck with me!)
Robert o' the Faire

For those of you who have been blessed with the tag-ends of your previously proud sets of arrows and have replaced them, I'd like to point out an excellent opportunity to donate them to encourage future archers! Yes, you very well provide the very arrows that will be shot by a future King's Huntsman, or at least certainly help provide some new archer with a chance to get hooked on this wonderful sport!

In other words, I'm looking for arrows to enhance our loaner gear. I will replace lost fletches, glue on tips and fix broken nocks... donated arrows with shafts in good condition will fly again. It doesn't matter if you can only donate one arrow; the future archers of this barony need it more than your closet or garage.

So, if you have a few lonely shafts laying around somewhere, please bring them to populace, or send me information if you can't make it to populace on Tuesday. I'd like to get a census on the number of potential loaner arrows and get them in my hands as soon as possible so I can bring them to Beltaine this year.

Thank you (in advance) for your generous donations....

Robert o' the Faire,
Namron Archery Marshal
