Some list members may have seen the story on the news recently about flooding at Stage Center in downtown OkC.Two theatre groups used the building and both suffered devastating losses when we got the big rain. Carpenter Square Theatre lost all their costumes and props.{they had a large room full of stored costumes} and Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park had their office flooded which destroyed financial records, computers, etc;not to mention old scrapbooks from previous years.Anyway,if you ever thought of going to see a play this might be the time to do it:they could both use the money to recover from the damage.Websites are www.carpentersquare.com and www.oklahomashakespeare.com  .Both have shows going now.Carpenter Square is doing a musical comedy, "Reefer Madness" and OSP is doing "The Taming of the Shrew." OSP,of course, will have two other shows later in the Summer. Both are doing their shows at the Civic Center for now;Carpenter Square indoors in the
Freede little theatre and OSP outside. Please visit their web sites and think about helping them out Carpenter Square has "two for one thursdays" and both groups have some discounts for seniors and students as I recall.
                                              thanks,
                                                        Edward
