Len,

There will be championship competitions in Chivalric, Rapier, Archery,
Knife/Axe/Spear, Middle Eastern Dancing and Middle Eastern Drumming. There
will also be some new fighters and youth competitions (not championships).
Their Majesties will hold a Chivalry Circle with the Knights. We will have
our annual Past and Current Wiesenfeuer Champions Ice Cream Social and a
Landed Nobles Lunch. Additionally, our successors will be invested as the
new Baron and Baroness.

The site is Camp DaKaNi (about 1/2 mile West of I-35 on Hefner Road behind
Frontier City) which opens on Friday late afternoon and closes on Sunday
around mid-day.

In Service,

Elric Dracwin
Baron of Wiesenfeuer

  Greetings, good folk!

I am presently a resident of the Kingdom of the Outlands, but I will be
interning for two months at the natural history museum in Norman this
summer, so of course I immediately went to check out the local SCA groups.

I'm really looking forward to meeting new people and visiting Ansteorra
and
Namron. My main focus in the SCA is A&S (particularly sewing, embroidery,
and scribal), but I have dabbled in various activities. Archery is my
other
main activity, although I haven't had much chance to practice in a while.

Also, I am currently looking for a sublet or room to rent from about
mid-June to mid-August, and I haven't been able to find a lot of options
online. I would really appreciate any leads or suggestions people might
  have.

Looking forward to meeting you in a few months!

  Your cousin in service,
  Leonor Ruiz

Welcome to the Barony of Namron.

Namron has a very strong A&S tradition. The density of Laurels is very,
very high compared to most groups. Scribal is a very strong area with the
barony... as is archery. You should have no shortage of things to do while
you are here.

  Leonor-
First off, welcome! With this being a university town you will need to try
and find something early as students start grabbing things up for fall
semester. That being said, there are several local realtors who deal with
just this type of thing here in Norman. Not sure of which ones, been too
long since I dealt with any of them, but if you start in the Norman yellow
pages and they don't do it they should be able to tell you who does. Sorry I
could not be more specific for you, but hopefully this gets you pointed in
the right direction at least.

It was on KFOR 4 at 6:15am and then on KAUT at 7:15 we did another
fight. Tadgh and Robert fought rapier and David and myself did heavy.
The fights were for a promotional spot about the Medfair so they could
  have it on the news.
