This is unfortunately scheduled the same weekend as Queen's Champion for
HRM Gilyan, so I know a lot of us will not be able to help out. But I
wanted to pass along the information to those who might be able to. It
would be nice to have this site available to us again.

In Service,
Donnchadh

I was asked to forward this to the list as they are looking for help
in reopening camp.

Karl, Here it is and thank you for posting it. Debbie
    Subject: Camp Cimarron work weekend!
The Camp Fire board met on Thursday to discuss the possibility of
rehabilitating Cimarron. After discussion, it was approved to go
ahead with Phase I!!!!!!!!!! So now, the HOC Cimarron committee will
make decisions on what priority things needs to be done. As of now,
it is update the bath house with new flushies, check out the
plumbing over all and new faucets on the sinks. If you haven’t been
to Cimarron in the past 5-6 years, the Plunge is irrepairable. It
    will be demolished.
A work day is scheduled for May 22.
For those who aren’t handy with plumbing, or able to help with the
demo; there are other tasks that can be done! Lots of trees need to
be cut back, so if you are handy with a chain saw, bring one and you
will be pointed in the direction most needed! Volunteers are also
needed to move the logs, branches that are cut down, rake the
chapel, checking for loose nails/boards; cleaning the kitchen in the
canodge; taking inventory of items in the pantry/kitchen; being a
    ‘gopher’ for the workers.
THIS IS A WORK WEEKEND. LOTS OF HEAVY EQUIPMENT AND PROJECTS TO BE
CAUTIOUS OF. NO SUPERVISIONS OR ACTIVITIES ARE PLANNED FOR CHILDREN
    OR YOUTH.
Please plan to bring your children, youth or Camp Fire club when
there will be a weekend of activities planned for them.
If you would like to come to the work weekend, make note: Currently,
there is no potable water (meaning no drinking water) at Camp. You
will need to bring your own. The water is priority for us to have
tested, and may be done by the 22nd. Some of the flushies in the
bath house work. Also, you will be asked to sign a waiver releasing
Camp Fire from liability if you get hurt while on the property.
Some of us are providing a sandwich bar for lunch, for the workers,
and will need a head count! So, let me know if you plan to
    attend.(contact oafcmippy at sbcglobal.net
    <http://us.mc806.mail.yahoo.com/mc/compose?to=oafcmippy@sbcglobal.net>)
If you would like to contribute toward the sandwich bar, let me
know what you would like to bring. If you cannot be there that
weekend, but would like to make a donation towards supplies for camp
or the lunch, you may send a check to:
    FRIENDS OF CIMARRON
    c/o Debbie McBee
    505 St. Paul Ave.
    Midwest City, OK 73130

Please let me know where you would like your donation to be used.

Things to bring: chain saws, pole saws, work gloves, safety glasses,
drinking water , rakes, cleaning supplies, hammers, heavy duty trash
    bags, bug spray, sunblock.
For those who want to, it has been approved for staying over! Bring
your sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, and your own dinner, and
return to those nights of cabin sleeping in the sounds and smells we
have all been missing at Cimarron! Again, I will need to know who
plans to stay over. Singing and cooking s’mores around the camp
fire…can’t get any better than that!
