Nobody is trying to hide anything at all. The process is possibly redundant and there are a few officers who wish to look into streamlining the meetings. 
This really has carried on way past sensible. There is no secret agenda, people are not trying to hurt anyone or make them feel unwanted, The Communist Party is not coming to get you. This is only a discussion to see if it is feasible to make meetings more efficient and most importantly fun for everyone.
