I believe they allocate 225 square feet per person.  My 15x15 tent would 
be 225 square feet if it had no ropes - it almost consumes a full 2 
person allocation with ropes if there is no overlap.  Of course, it's 
normal to overlap the ropes when period tents are set up next to each 
other, so there's some leftover.  It's important that most people do not 
use their entire allotment so the group can have some sort of common 
area and pathways through the camp so you can get to your tents.
