[Namron] Opportunity for fencing teacher

My kids took fencing lessons from Redlands when they were young and I don't think that masks and jackets come small enough for a 4 year old.  Kids that small could be taught some footwork and basic point control drills, but they probably wouldn't be safe to actually go against an opponent.

Subject: [Namron] Opportunity for fencing teacher

A friend of mine in Norman is looking for a fencer willing to teach basic skills to homeschooled children.  She says:

"I am looking to have a small group class ages 4-8ish -- probably no more than 5 or 6 kids. Ideally we would have it weekly during the day (before 5:00). And we would pay the teacher of course. I was envisioning a 45 minute -1 hour class but am flexible.  Also, I know there is some kind of fencing coach certification. We don't care about that. At this age, all I want is someone who likes kids, who can teach some basic skills and make the class fun."

If this sounds like something you would be interested in teaching, or if you have suggestions for her (she has not been able to find any classes offered for children younger than six) please contact me offlist and I will put you in touch with her.

Thank you,
Vigdis
