we also should look at having a raffle or something at med fair ... to
raise money for crown travel .. why make this SCA only there are a lot of
people that would love to have access to the items we donate ... we have
alot of talented artist in area and could make a grab bag raffle at med
fair ... that is where you take 4 or 5 items and put them in bags ($10 to
$50 in value)... ( goblin hide cloth bags( rag bag .. made from any and all
small left overs from garb night or pillow cases work too ) .... and then
have must be here to win drawing at set time .... and sell raffle tickets
.... for 1 for a buck ... 6 for 5 bucks ... and 13 for ten .... then if
have one really nice item that is worth more .. we have it as grand prize .
... and drawn last ... if med fair is really over 70 to 100k people like i
heard ... it should not be to hard to turn a couple hundred bucks in our
old junk into 3000 bucks ... if we sell it right ... call it something that
helps get people in the mood or funny ... like "goblin bingo" ... ..."kings
conquest fund" ... "lucky winds lotto"... or "King's War Coins" ....we had
one at demo that was called " it is better then taxes lottery" just would
have to check with med fair if we can do fund raising at event ... ... well
there is my 2 pents ... hope it helps ...
