>From what has been posted on the Skorragardr Facebook page, the parade starts at 9:00 am for walkers at 1625 N. Broadway. The parade will end at the Veterans Memorial in Woodland Veterans Park at Broadway & Highland.  I believe they are wanting people to start forming up about 8:30 if they are walking in the parade.

I don't know if we have a specific place in the parade or not.  There will be a pavilion set up at the park for those who wish to attend the demo but don't feel up to the walk, from what I understand.

This coming Thursday we celebrate the independence of our great nation. Many will spend time lighting fireworks, grilling or visiting with friends and family. These activities usually start in the afternoon.
At 9AM (till about 1pm) on the 4th our Canton to the East, Skorgarrdr, will be walking in Shawnee's Independence Parade.
After the parade in The Veterans Memorial Park there will also be a demo opportunity. The parade organizers specifically requested the SCA come out and both participate in the parade and do a demo.
As of the writing of this missive there are only 8 participants planning to attend, two of which are children. Skorragardr is less than an hour away, not very far at all. I know that they would appreciate Namron's support. Lord Andrew and I plan on driving out that morning and have room for one maybe two more (depending on how his knee feels).
Groups in the North always stick together. This is a chance for the Barony to rise up in support of its Canton.
If you can, please make the short trek eastward, and walk in the parade. Fight at the demo. Stand around and look pretty.
