It is a warm and clear night in Ansteorra as Night Duty Guard Sable 3 makes her rounds, looking here and there for anything out of the ordinary.  She turns her eyes towards the Hill of Ansteorra which borders the north edge of the lands and indeed notices something is out of the ordinary.  For atop the highest peak of the hill sits a Beacon Tower and the brilliant Beacon Flame has just roared to life.  The Guard runs with all swift to the Majestic Hall where Their Excellencies reside.

The Beacons!  The Beacon of Ansteorra Hill is Lit!  The Medieval Fair calls for our aid!

With no hesitation Their Excellencies reply.

And Ansteorra will Answer............Muster the Ansteorrans!

Yes, Namron and Ansteorra will answer the call as they have for so many years in the past proudly representing the SCA to over 350,000 annual guests of the Norman Medieval Fair.  

And now as we look ahead to the 2014 Fair, the time has come for The Triad to hand over the Sable Spike to our new Leaders, the folks who will take charge of The Embassy and guide us to another successful year.  

Could one of those Leaders be you?  If you believe you are ready for the challenge, bids are now being taken for the Leadership of the 2014 Fair.  Now, past experience has shown a Team of 2 or 3 Leads working with a Staff of Directors to oversee the individual aspects of The Embassy works best.

We invite those interested to visit with us and learn what it takes.  We will bring you up to date on what we have accomplished and offer guidance in the preparation of your Proposal.  You will then submit your Proposal to both Their Excellencies and our Seneschal.  

The Triad will be attending the Medieval Fair Cast Auditions from 1 until 5 pm Sunday August 8 in the Boomer Room of the OU Student Union.  We strongly encourage those interested in Leading or Directing the 2014 Embassy to come visit with us and get a hands on feel of what goes on behind the scenes of bringing this epic event to life.
