It takes many hands and many hearts to bring the Medieval Fair to life every spring. This is an opportunity to meet those amazing people and find out how you can become a part of the magic that makes Medieval Fair happen!
At this event you will get the chance to meet representatives of the Medieval Fair Cast (the royal court and street characters), The Arthurian Order of Avalon (King Arthur & the Knights of the Round Table, Human Chess Match), and The Barony of Namron (Society for Creative Anachronism local group).
Get involved and make new friends through medieval reenactment!

Dr. Andreea Marculescu of the OU Dept. of Women's and Gender Studies presents "The Wicked Witch of the West: Brooms, Black Cats, and Stolen Babies." for the Medieval Fair Free Lecture Series, cosponsored by the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies. The stereotypical representation of a witch is that of an old, often physically impaired, childless female who is accompanied by a black cat, carries a broom, and plots to inflict evil" in the world. This talk will explore the historical origins of such portrayal tracing it back to medieval theological discourses about demons, women, and heretics.
