Greetings Namron! I am coordinating the living history area at the Medieval
Fair demo this year. We will be having a period encampment area along with
the pavilion for people to work on projects.

I would like to get an idea of how many people will be in the living
history pavilion and what types of arts and crafts you will be working on.
As this pavilion tends to be less static displays and relies more on people
working on projects or discussing more specific arts, I want to make sure
we have enough going on throughout the weekend. I know there is some
overlap between this area and the costuming and arts and sciences tents
which divides people's time, but if you plan on spending time in the living
history area, please let me know!

Also, if you have other commitments for parts of the weekend, but have
banners/tapestries or work-in progress type displays they would be great
for this area as well.

We would love to have all types of arts represented - textiles and weaving,
leather working, illumination, cooking (we can't actually cook, but can
talk about the tools/processes), woodworking, stone carving, and more! I
think some soft music would be nice as well - whether live or prerecorded.

The period encampment will have a couple of Viking-style wedge tents with
some items outside. One of the tents will be set up with a bed, etc. for
people to look at/take pictures. If you have things that would work well
for this display area, please let me know!

The fair runs April 5-7, 2019.

YIS,
Lady Uliana (mka Julia Haiduk)
