[Namron] Applications Requested: Office of the Historian

[Seneschal of Namron]

Exciting News!!

The Barony of Namron is accepting applications for a Baronial Historian
through 25 March 2020 at 9 p.m. CST. This is a unique opportunity as the
person selected will help the Seneschal draft the position description and
determine an annual budget as procedures are developed.

The Historian will be a Deputy to the Chronicler, but will operate
independently to record the history of our Barony. Many materials exist,
but will need to be gathered and scanned or otherwise preserved. The
Historian will frequently coordinate with the Landed Nobility, Seneschal,
Chronicler, and Webminister.

Applicants must possess excellent command of written English, be
comfortable contacting people, sometimes in person or by telephone, in
order to retrieve archival information, and be highly organized. Creative
writing and documentation will be a large part of this role, as well as
frequent use of email and social media. Dependable access to a computer and
scanner will be necessary. Applicants must have a current paid Sustaining
or Family Membership in the SCA.

Applicants should be available to regularly attend both the monthly
Populace and Business Meetings.
