www.vikinganswerlady.com this is Mistress Gunnvor's site and I believe she has a
link to another Laurel's site which has clothing of the period as a feature. If
not you can drop her and e-mail and she can direct you. She is just about the
best source for viking anything in the Known World. If she doesn't have it she
will cheerfully direct you to where it is (whatever your question is) or
cheerfully help you research it. But don't tell my husband I'm encouraging
anything Norse or I'll never be able to live with him.

As for trim there are many
things you can do including something as simple as braiding in colors to
coordinate with your outfit. Embroidery is always an option but alas, time
comsuming. And don't tell me men don't embroider. Master Aethelstan and Master
Tarl put me to shame with their beautiful stitchery. You might try bribe, uhm I
mean barter with Annabelle for some beautiful inkle woven trim for your first
tunic.

Anyone who has the skill you are
looking for in this group will cheerfully give instructions or for those of us
who don't can point you to some one who does.
