The first weekend in May, when Namron celebrates Beltane is a weekend of fun and frivolty. However, it<BR>is also an opportunity for Namron to select some of its Champions...Titled Bard, Brewer, Archer, Thrown Weapons, and <BR>of course A&S Champion! To that end, I would like to announce to one and all the A&S competition. I will be endeavoring to provide all <BR>artisans with a friendly, fun atmosphere for competition.<BR> <BR>There will be two categories of competition and here are the 'rules':<BR>1. On the serious side, a competition to help our participants prepare for Kingdom A & S (coming next spring). <BR>2. Categories are static and research papers....bards and brewers will compete in a different championship the same<BR>weekend.<BR>3. Along those lines we will have a panel of judges (hopefully some willing and eager...or just willing Laurels) <BR>use the Kingdom A & S judging forms to give feedback and to score participants. Judging sheets can be found<BR>on the Kingdom MOAS website.<BR>4. Our lovely Baroness will decide the winner in the event of a tie.<BR>5. Documentation is required.<BR>6. The competition will be held on Saturday, time to be announced.<BR>7. Participants need not be present to enter, they may send entries with a friend.<BR>8. Entries may not have been a winner at a previous competition....i.e., one of the Kingdom A & S champions chosen to<BR>represent Ansteorra at Gulf Wars. <BR> <BR>The second category will be fun. Bring your best/worst non-period A & S item with documentation as to<BR>WHY it SHOULD have been/COULD have been period. For example, that lovely silver lame princess gown you <BR>wore for Halloween documented that it COULD have been period if only lame/lounge singing had been invented.<BR>Be creative, be fun.
