NR - Peers and More

Well, I hardly expected to create that flury of e-mails about who our
peers are in the northern region. But, I found the listings helpful
and learned about several of which I was unaware.
I believe it was Sir William (Bear) that brought the point back home.
He asked the question of do we have enough peers now that we have
seen the lists. And, I would agree with his comment (I paraphrase,
please pardon if I get this wrong): that there appears to be plenty
of Patent Level peers. However, I have to admit a little concern as
to the disparity between the Laurel/Chivalry side and the Pelicans.
Is the ratio of Pelicans to other peers that we have in the north
similar to the ratio throughout the kingdom? Throughout the SCA?
Are four Pelicans enough to meet that vague statement in Corpora of
"...to foster the development of those orders and the skills they
represent within the principality"? What does the populace think?
Along the same lines, I am curious where many of these peers are
located and how many are active? I am copying here the compiled list
from the discussion of the last few days. Can someone note by each
name if the peer is inactive or list the group they participate with?
(I apologize in advance if I missed someone in the torrent.)
