Greetings Friends!

I've updated the intro and info files for the Northern Regional Mailing 
List.  I've added the posting address (northern at ansteorra.org) and a 
disclaimer, as well as updated some general information.

These both of these files are sent when one joins the list, and can get 
retrieved at anytime by sending a message to majordomo at ansteorra.org with

info northern
intro northern

Remember, as with all majordomo commands, there is no subject, commands are 
given in the body of the message.

Here's the general information for the list you've subscribed to, in

      The Northern Regional Mailing List:

    This list is appropriate for all messages concerning the SCA as
pertains to the Northern Region of the Kingdom of Ansteorra (the state
of Oklahoma and a small part of Texas).  The discussions are especially
encouraged to include event announcements; local, regional, (and
kingdom) meetings and discussions; craft and guild discussions, as well
as all other aspects of the SCA.

    The SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) is a non-profit,
educational organization of individuals that study the Middle Ages and
Renaissance, and recreate those parts they find most interesting.

     Hopefully, this list will encourage communication and strengthen
the ties between all the northern groups; for example, by providing
information on local demos (Incip. shire X will be doing a demo - we
need all the fighters possible. please show up this weekend!); broadcasting
requests for help that need specialized instructors (Barony X would like
to have dance instruction at next A&S meeting); speedy requests/delivery
of information between groups (shire Y has a neat idea for a regional
event, looking for interest from other groups), etc.

	The Northern Regional Mailing list (northern at ansteorra.org)is not an 
official publication of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc.  Although 
it is a forum for people in the SCA to express themselves and their 
interests, it is a privatly owned and operated mailing list and should not 
be considered to be an official function of the SCA, Inc.
