I certainly think of Brad Leah as part of the north. Having grown up in
SW Oklahoma, I always thought of Lawton as my front yard, and Wichita
Falls as my back yard. Of course, there was no Brad Leah in those days
(around 1980), but my first intro to SCA was Eldern Hills (then a
shire). Brad Leah is a member of the Northern Alliance, and the Black
Company are the shields and spears to our left and right.

Having said all that, I regret that I have never attended a Brad Leah
event.
