To all gentles of Ansteorra:

We have had to change the site for Guardian. This is a change from what is
printed in the Blackstar. Please get this information to everyone you can. I
want everyone to see this change, so that no one will go to the wrong site.

A.S. XXXIII has turned out to be the year of doo-dah in Mooneschadowe. We were
in the home stretch of preparations for our 18th Guardian tourney, when I
discovered that no one had bothered to reserve the Will Rogers Scout Camp (our
usual site). They have booked another group for our weekend.

Three days after making this discovery, hairless and with one eye remaining**,
I have managed to secure another site. It is another wondrous site, with
shaded, yea, even cool camping areas. It has some electricity, water, and
showers. It has air-conditioned lodging for our King and Queen, and those few
others who can afford to pay a bit extra. All the other information about
pricing and site rules listed in the Blackstar remains unchanged. Pricing for
the A/C lodging is $15/person/night in addition to the site fee.

The site is "The Ranch" on the north side of Stillwater. Here are the directions:

>From Tulsa or points east of Stillwater:

Take the Cimarron Turnpike to the Stillwater Wye. Take the Stillwater Wye to
the the HWY 177 exit. Go south (toward Stillwater) a mere 1/4 mile to Lake
McMurtry road. Turn right and journey west 3 miles to Country Club Road and
"The Ranch". Turn right and go north 1/2 mile to the 2nd cattle guard. This is
where our gate will be set up.

>From Oklahoma City, Enid, or other points north, south or west of Stillwater:

Take I-35 to the Stillwater exit (HWY 51). Travel toward Stillwater, 15 miles
east on HWY 51. Just before the Pontiac/GMC dealer is Country Club Road. Turn
left on Country Club road and go 6 miles north to Lake McMurty road. You will
see a sign here that says "The Ranch" Don't turn, but continue north another
1/2 mile to the 2nd cattle guard. This is where our gate will be set up.

>From Stillwater and points nearby:

Take HWY 177 north past Boomer Lake to Lake McMurtry Road. This is 1/4 mile
before the Cimarron Turnpike entrance. Turn left on Lake McMurtry Road and go
west 3 miles to Country Clube road and "The Ranch". Turn right again and go
1/2 mile to the 2nd cattle guard. This is where our gate will be set up.

I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this causes anyone. We will make
every effort to get maps to nearby groups. We will also post the map on our
web page at . I will give that web address when it's ready. I will have maps
available at Wiesenfeuer Baronial, and at William Marshal Tourney.

I look forward to seeing everyone there who can make it. Travel safe.

Lord Guillaume de Troyes
Seneschal of Mooneschadowe

** I would rather poke an eye out than have to find a new site 3 weeks before
an event.
