        Unexpected Workshop Opportunity!!!
        Friday, April 23,  5 - 7 p.m.
        1st Unitarian Church, OKC

        Jacqueline Schwab (piano)  and Dean Shostak (fiddle and glass
armonica) will be in Elk City for a concert, and have offered to conduct an
English Country Dance in OKC on Friday, April 23 at 7:30 p.m., PRECEDED  by
a musicians' workshop from 5 - 6:30 p.m.   Jacqueline and Dean will play for
the dance; Jacqueline will teach and call the English Country Dances.

The entire evening of workshop and dance is $7.50 per person; workshop only
is $3.00

This is a unique opportunity to take advantage of two very talented
musicians who will be in Oklahoma only briefly - please spread the word to
music and dance friends.

Details:
Jacqueline Schwab, from Boston, is an English dance caller and is the piano
player for Bare Necessities, the premier English Country Dance band in the
U.S..  Besides the three Bare Necessities CDs, Jacqueline  appears on a new
CD of traditional Scottish music with fiddler Laura Risk (a protege of
Alasdair Fraser).  It is worth coming to the workshop simply to be able to
purchase this CD!  .

Dean Shostak, fiddle and glass armonica, specializes in music of the
Revolutionary War era and has worked for several years at Colonial
Williamsburg.   His workshop workshop will feature the various styles of
music he plays (not English country dance music)
