NR - New Year's Eve Party

This missive is to invite you all to a New Year's Eve party.  

The party will be in Stillwater, OK, New Year's Eve, from 8:30 until 
approx. 2am, at the Strode Reception Center.

The Strode Reception Center is located 1/2 block north of the 
Community Center (where we held King's College this spring) on 
Duck Street.  Take your best route to Hwy 51 (6th street, in town).  
Turn south on Duck.  The Reception Center is between 7th & 8th 
avenues.  There's a sign.  If you reach the Community Center, 
you've gone too far.

I will be in garb, but garb is certainly not a requirement.  There will 
most likely be non-SCA people at the party, and they are welcome.

I do not anticipate a rowdy time, but fun should be had by all as we 
watch the hour candles burn down to midnight.

The site is wet, and it has a small kitchen (microwave, oven, stove, 
fridge, etc.)  BYOB and snacks.   Slaine and I are providing 
champagne poppers.

You should be forewarned, that in the unlikely event that Strode 
Funeral Home has a request to use the center from a bereaved 
family, we will be asked to leave, at which time the party will move 
to another location (and directions posted at the center).

I look forward to toasting in the year 2000 with my friends and 
medieval family,
