NR - About my Dance Teachers' Class at Winterkingdom

To all who are currently dance instructors in their local groups, to all
who might consider being instructors, and to any who are interested in
Renaissance court dance:


   At my dance instructors's class at Winterkingdom, I will be handing
out the final draft of the Nordsteorra Dance Manual. It has the
instructions on how to do over 80 dances that are commonly (and not so
commonly) done in the SCA.

   It contains a long bibliography of sources for period dance steps,
sheet music, and recordings. This is the result of many months of work
by me and the dancers of Mooneschadowe.

   In the interest of promoting dance in Ansteorra, the manual will be
free to all who are interested in going back to their local groups and
teaching dance.

   In the class, we will also discuss other topics of interest to dance
instructors, such as generating interest in dance in your group, working
with musicians, and catering to both avid and casual dancers. We will
discuss points of dance etiquette. We will discuss different ways you
can run a ball at events, and how to work with autocrats to plan time
for dance. We will discuss whatever dance-related topics anyone would
like to bring up.

   The class will be held in Area 1, the dance area, and will run from
11:00 am to 11:50 am.
