Burke McCrory (bmccrory at oktax.state.ok.us) said something that sounded like:

Minor nit from my personal opinion.

According to:

http://www.west.sca.org/places.html

the West has:

One Principality (Mists) that is the SF and Monterrey Bay area. This area
has two Baronies and a *lot* of shires, cantons and colleges.
One Princiality (Cynagua) that is the Central valley and Nevada. This area
has two Baronies and a *lot* of shires.
One Principality (Oertha) that is Alaska. This area has two Baronies and a
  couple shires/cantons.
One Principality (Lochac) that is Australia. This area has a lot of groups
and is applying for Kigndom status.
The remaining area (The Marches) is Northern CA, Japan and Korea.

I don't feel that the Wests model is at all close to us. They are a Kingdom
that is full of principalities and little else over a great part of the
Pacific Rim. Now we might be that way eventually, but I don't see a need
to chop us up that small. That would be like having All the regions
except Central become Principalities.

>From my recent travels to the West, most people rarely leave their own
Principality. Heck, I never got directions to Cynagua's Investiture
becuase someone staying in the Mists would never travel that far to an
event. (<3 hours) I did make it to the Investiture and enjoyed the
learning experience that it was.

Ciao,
