mundane world we have a red river rivalry. And that's one thing, it
doesn't necessarily carry over into the SCA. (some may say it does)
But the SCA fact is, the south doesn't need the north. Though I have not
been rude to by anyone who was from the south merely because I was from
the north. I can say, as one of the southern areas of the North,
(Rundel) we have seen very few southern folk at our event. Usually a
handful of 5-7 each year. These are facts that are easily varified in
our gate sheets. Yes, Rundel isn't the largest group in the north, but
we are closer to the Texas border. 
Texas is such a huge area, it's hard to sometimes understand the spread
they have. I'm talking population as well.
