NR - Griffin, for want of a standard spelling...

Winged creatures.....monsters: Pegasus, some Dragons, Griphons, 
winged serpents are called...? Flying pigs.... hehehehe Ok getting a 
little silly..... some sphinx are portrayed having wings, angels and 
demons.... too religious but can't help but think of the ark of the 
covenant in raiders of the lost ark tres cool.... Chimaera, Phoenix 
(I like that idea)... ok so maybe some of these aren't blazonable 
but.... it's just a thought.

If we're going to talk about the weather, the beauty of Oklahoma is 
that we
have ALL weather....so something about "everyone's weather", 
perhaps....

Course we could go with the Iceland/Greenland strategy and call 
ourselves
the Temperate Lands. (hmmm...referring to the weather or the 
people...?)
