In a principality your calender would kept locally. The only dates that
are automatically blacked out are Crown and Coronation. Of course the
calender keeper would keep aware of things happening in adjacent areas of
the Kingdom and would try to steer people away from major scheduling
conflicts. The calender could even be listed separately in the Kingdom
Newsletter if the K. Chronicler agreed.
This is probably a good place to address the Coronet tourney and
investiture. In some principalities these happen on separate dates which
means that 4 weekends are involved. But in the West Kingdom the coronet
list and investiture happen on the same weekend. The list is held on Sat
and the Investiture is Sunday. This is possible because all of the
principals (incoming and outgoing coronets) are from the surrounding region
and the travel time allows for Sunday activities. The only possible
trouble would be if the Crown could not stay for Sunday and that is handled
on a case by case basis. Also the principality of the Mist publishes its
newsletter only one per reign and is by subscription only.
