I guess that we can define my curiousity with something refering to my
tenatiousness and need to catagorize and organize things.  I have started
getting responces to the demo in Tahlequah on November 3rd and they are
sounding excieted enough, that I am daring to dream of more.   So here it
goes, I would love to have a lawn full of people in garb (100-200) out
showing all of why the SCA is there Dream.  I would love it to be free of
any politics and show a Community all that this can be and show them how
they too can dream the same dream.  I want to invite our neighbors over and
down from Calontir and just have a day with no agenda other than having a
wonderful time for all.

Do you all want to dream this dream with me?

I am working on a large demo for the group getting started in Tahlequah at
NSU.  It is being tentativly called, 'A Day of Swords and Song'.  I had
hoped to have the Rapier community gather there for their reginal fighter
practice, but your leader has family in visiting that day and is already
obligated. I would love to have as many of our fighters out as we can and I
would appreciate any guidance from our Dons and Northkeep's Ensign and
Rapier Marshall.  I wanted to contact you each, but didn't have contact
info, so excuse the public plea. The site is beautiful, a gentally sloaping
hill in front of historic Seminary Hall.  There is a small pond beside a
creek and just up stream is a castle overlooking from above.  (I hope to
talk to the lady who owns it and find out about it's history)  There is a
bridge across the pond, I hope that will be perfect for bridge battles.  It
will be Nov 3rd, so no one will probably want to go in the water but it
will be fun all the same.

I have also asked our Chivalric Warlord to see if they can have their
fighter practice in conjunction with it and am waiting for news back from
him.  If that won't work, I would love to have any of you who can make it
out.  If you have a group of fighters who would like to join us, please let
me know of your numbers.  I would also love to have any of our Knights who
would be able to travel to this to join us.

In my planning I am looking for numbers and arragements needed so I have an
idea of if this will be a group of 50 or so people and to keep my publicity
limited to campus or if I can expect a 150 of us to turn out and can invite
the whole town.  I would also love to see Guilds demonstrating what they
do.  I am hoping to meet with some of the campus contacts tomarrow, so as
to check on available building space also.  I would love to be able to
offer several short classes on different aspects of what is available in
the SCA and this would be a wonderful opportunity.  I would make a plea for
our Laurels, but know that it is Kingdom A&S that weekend and so know that
they are committed.  If any from other kingdoms are able to make it, that
would be wonderful or our local ones who are unable to travel far that
weekend.  If you are coming and have any special needs, please let me know.

As I was telling someone earlier, I am fighting the desire to get really
carried away with this.(scary when you think this isn't me carried away)  I
was born and raised in Tahlequah and love it like no other place, I would
love to bring something to it that will give back some of the bounty it has
given me.  I also would love to have events to go to in the heart of Green
Country, that abounds in beauty like few other places, so am hoping above
all hope to help the nacent group there get a good start toward becoming a
collage.   As it is only 3 weeks away, I would love to get an idea of
numbers that I am working with now and any classes that I have willing
teachers for (20 minute overview type of thing) and groups represented; so
I can start getting the publicity out.

Things I would love to see; lots of musicians, dancers (both court and
middle eastern),scribes, heralds, bards, artisens of all sorts, people
representing the full gamout of personas that the SCA covers, royalty,
families, all the blessings that this wonderful dream offers. I want the
whole gamut from those who teethed on fresh lava rock and those who started
playing this September, we are all part of the Dream.  Archery and
Equestrian are beyond the sites abilities, but if someone can bring the
materials for a demo of Thrown Weapons, I should be able to find you the
space for that.
