I just wanted to let the armoured combatants out there be aware of two rule modifications to be enforced:

#1) Half Gauntlets. If using a basket-hilted weapon, a half-guantlet will now be required, using a minimum of heavy leather or equivalent.  The cuff should meet or over lap the edge of the vambrace when the hand is in normal position.  There should be no gapping in between.  Compliance is expected by November Crown Tournament.  Heavy leather is defined as 12 oz or greater leather.

#2) Thrusting tips.  All thrusting tips on all weapons must be marked with red.  You may still use any other color for the edge (including red) so long as it contrasts with the "flat" of the weapon.
