Ivarr,
I took the class to get the license. Spent a morning
and $5 IIRC. Didn't learn anything I didn't already
know. Wash hands. Keep hot food hot. Wash hands. Keep
cold food cold. Wash hands. Don't cross-contaminate.
Even if it's not required, it's just not that hard to
obtain. My philosophy is "it can't hurt to have one."
