Greetings to the Barony of Wiesenfeuer, and all others who have
interest, from Countess Kat MacLochlainn, holder of the Barony of
Wiesenfeuer in fief for the Crown of Ansteorra:
Their Majesties have contacted me regarding Their decision about my
successor and have asked that I make the official announcement. First I
would like to personally and publicly thank all those who stood as
candidates. Your willingness to serve your barony is nothing short of
amazing and I know each of you took the potential committment very
seriously. You have successfully maintained the standard of friendship
and cooperation between baronial candidates that Wiesenfeuer is becoming
known for. As I've already told you, your love for Wiesenfeuer is
obvious and I think any of you would have done a fine job!
Next, it is my pleasure to announce that Their Majesties have chosen
Master Lucais du Belier to succeed me as the next Baron of Wiesenfeuer.
Congratulations (and condolences) to him! I'm looking forward to quite
the party to celebrate my retirement and his enslavem- er, elevation! I
know Wiesenfeuer will continue to be a happy place to live and play
under his wise leadership.
Now for the official stuff. Wiesenfeuer has been given the date of June
27-29 for our Baronial Investiture. As many of you already know, we
have petitioned the Kingdom to combine this event with Kingdom Academy
of the Bow. This event hasn't been held in the North in a very long
time and we felt this would be a good opportunity to promote archery in
our region. All archery enthusiasts (both combat and target) are
encouraged to participate and teach. Newcomers are also encouraged to
come and learn more about this fascinating and very medieval sport (I
suspect loaner equipment will be available as well). If you have a
particular skill related to archery, be it shooting or making archery
related things, or if you know a lot about archery in the middle ages,
we need your help! Please consider volunteering your talents and
knowledge as an instructor. Also, if you are an authorized archery
marshal willing to help run the ranges, your skills are much needed.
Whether you wish to teach or help, please contact the Academy autocrat,
Sir Barn Silveraxe at BSilveraxe at aol.com. If you have general questions
about the event, or if you want to volunteer to help with things that
aren't archery related, you can contact the event autocrat, Baroness
Gitana de Castille, at HEGitana at aol.com.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the academy, the investiture and
the party!
Kat >^.,.^<
Baroness of Wiesenfeuer
